About

I find my inspiration  in the world around me, in textures, shapes, materials. Often cast aside items like old rusted metal, or ordinary objects like cardboard or toothpicks will catch my imagination and I will combine these with other objects to "construct" an art piece.

I use nails, glue...lots of glue....in fact I "paint" with glue.....fabric, metal, wood, plastic, paint, flower petals, plumbing parts, paper, glass, stones....just about anything that I feel has some textural value or special evocative shape.

My pieces can take a day or two to reach completion but most often I work on a piece or series for weeks or months, waiting for some "inner voice" to lead me to the "right" colour or material or placement of an element. Sometimes I abandon or radically change an idea or piece but I find that in that process I discover a whole new and exciting direction.

The artwork changes direction constantly. I hope that you can find something that attracts you in one or more of my pieces; something that pulls you in; makes you think or question or feel.
